Volunteering

The Juanita Lacrosse Club is run by volunteers.

Your donation of time helps the club run smoothly and helps us build a thriving and sustainable lacrosse community.

There are multiple roles where you can offer your talents to the club:

  • Team manager
  • Team photographer
  • Equipment and uniform manager
  • Website/social media manager
  • Event coordinator
  • Fundraising coordinator
  • Auction coordinator
  • 4th of July parade committee
  • Game day helper: Scorekeeper, timekeeper, spotter, field prep
  • Video (HS only): Veo camera operator, Varsity highlight clips coordinator
  • Spring break trip (HS only): Fundraising coordinator, Trip organizer
  • Summer tournament coordinator (HS only)
  • Team dinner coordinator (HS only)
  • Member of the board: President, Treasurer, Secretary, or ad-hoc
  • Coach, assistant coach

It's easy to assume someone else will step up, but that isn't always the case.

Your employer may have a program to match time spent volunteering doubling your impact with the club. 

Taking the steps to get your time matched is simple and we are happy to walk you through the process:

  1. Contact your employer’s HR department to see if they offer a program to match time spent volunteering.
  2. They will point you in the right direction and inform you of any necessary criteria, forms, and submission deadlines if the Juanita Lacrosse Club is not already in their system.
The Juanita Lacrosse Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization [Tax ID: EIN 47-1803128].  Donations are tax deductible (to the extent allowable by law) and the donation site (Zeffy) should email you a receipt.

The Juanita Lacrosse Club is a privately funded non-profit.

Your donation helps to bridge the gap between registration fees and club expenses. It is tax deductible and goes to help build not just a great lacrosse club and players, but also outstanding young men. Your donation supports:

  • Equipment like goals and nets, game balls, practice balls, etc.
  • Loaner gear for first time players
  • Uniforms and pinnies
  • Scholarships

Your employer may have a matching gift program that can increase your gift to the club! Matching gift programs are a form of corporate philanthropy where businesses match the donations employees make to charitable organizations.
